Digital Humanities Research Network

The Hub created the Digital Humanities Research Network in 2019. This group hosted a Digital Humanities (DH) brainstorming session and a discussion of AI and Creativity with Vancouver Art Gallery curator Bruce Grenville for a 2022 exhibition; activities include instituting DH office hours with ARC DH analyst Dr. Megan Meredith-Lobay; discussing DH infrastructure needs with the Faculty of Arts and VPRI; organizing a DH Conference (Oct 28-31, 2020); and establishing a partnership with UBC Library’s Research Commons to co-sponsor speakers and workshops relevant to DH. Visit our DH Support page for more information on these activities.

Environmental Humanities Research Network

In 2021-22, the Public Humanities Hub will be hosting several directed conversations with UBC scholars and external partners to explore interdisciplinary, collaborative, Humanities-focused research initiatives addressing the environmental issues of today. The Hub also co-sponsored a number of environment humanities sessions at the Un/Predictable Environments virtual conference (May 20-21, 2021). Sign up to receive updates and invitations to EH events.
